Re: Cannot use brand new SIM

I'm having exactly the same issue. I enter the phone number to register it and get the error "Sorry, you can only associate a number for an EE Consumer or Small Business plan.
If you're having trouble, call 150 from your EE phone. More ways to get in touch >
" It's a new SIM card for pay as you go. Not switching from any other account. And when I click on 'top up' it asks for the phone number and gives the exact same error message.

@sarahmcb  Is the SIM card activated?  Do you see the Signal showing on the device?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I'm having the same issue. Just received a new SIM today, and tried to activate it and got the same error message. My phone does not get a signal either.

Yeah, it just doesn’t work. There’s lots of people on this forum reporting this error going back years and NO solutions offered from EE. Worse - when you try and access their “help” via phone or chat you get the SAME error message when you enter the phone number.

EE can’t be bothered to fix this. Cut your losses and got to O2 or another competitor. That’s what I’ve done to resolve this.
