New PAYG SIM Issue

Hi, I ordered a new PAYG Sim online from the EE Store.

Arrived today and followed the instructions in the envelope it arrived in:

1. Put appropriate sized sim in phone (Iphone X)

2. Registered with EE

This is where issues seemed to arise.....

Got to step 3 (LINK) and entered the phone number printed in the packaging the SIM arrived in and I keep getting the following error message:

"Sorry, you can only associate a number for an EE Consumer or Small Business plan.
If you're having trouble, call 150 from your EE phone. More ways to get in touch >"

An I doing something obviously wrong here.....?

I'm having exactly the same isssue as the OP......

Not sure how it can be active (already)? Isn't that we're trying to do (by following the instructions provided by EE) to get the things up & running.....?

I thought the whole point of PAYG was a quick/easy set-up...... all you had to do was stick some credit on it....

@ajohnson80  Something is not happening right so I recommend you do as instructed and call customer services on 150 they’ll happily help you.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I’d love to but every time I try to ring 150 it immediately says “call failed”......

Just seems ridiculous- so frustrating
