7 day Roaming Add on

Hi EE,

I’m just wondering if I could have some help please, I’m going on holiday to Spain in a couple of days and was looking to purchase the 7 day roaming add on but it isn’t available to me, I have a £10 pay as you go subscription box that I have had for a number of years and this was renewed today so is currently active. On the website in the help section it says you need a subscription box to purchase this add on which I have but I have also found information that is it not available for pay as you go customers so please can you clarify this because also on the help page it says that it is! I also texted ROAMING PASS to 150 but it says this is not included in my pack, is there anyway that I can make this available or is there another add similar that is available for pay as you go customers that I can use whilst away. Thank you.

You'll be offered the PAYG EU roaming add-ons in a Welcome email when you get there.

To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by having texted ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by having texted ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about these charges for roaming in EU & inviting to take up these options. If you opt to reply neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & will need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.

The ROAMING PASS is only for contracts.

Hello, I am in the same situation as tomorrow I will travel to Italy, I recall some months ago I called from Italy to get the adds-on and had to be taken the 10 GBP payments via telephone. I am not too sure if it was the right thing but it was quite Painful to get in contact with them etc. If you reply to the text, how do they charge you the 10 GBP? Thanks.

@LisaOri : If you have no credit you won't be able to buy the 7-day roaming add-on & thus not be able to use your pack there.

Do you have an active pack? If not, that's another reason why you can't buy the 7-day roaming add-on. In fact you won't be offered it.

For a hassle-free trip make sure you have £10+ credit & an active pack before you leave.

@XRaySpeX  then I guess that having a DD in place and the 0 credit , I have to top up now 10 GBP from the Uk so that when I land to Italy tomorrow I can activate it and the money will be taken from my credit, correct?

@LisaOri : Yes, you need to have £10+ credit & an active pack before you leave.

You don't pay for PAYG by DD. You may very well have a Direct Card Payment from your bank card but that can't pay for the roaming add-ons.

@XRaySpeX  I guess I have a pack,  see below. Well what I meant it that they take always 10 GBP every month I am not sure how. but given the below, I top up 10 GBP and then I should be fine to activate from there?

If you don't manually top-up it must be an auto Direct Card Payment from a registered bank card.

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?
