Stranded abroad on PAYG - Roaming bar needs lifting

Sinan3
Visitor

Hello, I am an EE Pay-As-You-Go customer currently living outside the UK. My SIM card connects to local signal bars, but my profile has an internal server block preventing all incoming and outgoing calls and SMS. The My EE app shows a settings loading error so I cannot fix it myself. My current balance is £6.60. Could an official EE Community Guide please private message me here on the forum to manually lift the international roaming bar? Thank you.

Hello @Sinan3 ,

Welcome to the community,

There is no need to activate roaming when abroad on pay as you go.

Did you first activate your SIM card in the UK and make a chargeable call or text before going abroad? If not, then there is nothing EE will do, as the SIM card has to first be activated in the UK and no one will be able to help you, none of the community staff will either be able to help as they have no account access or know who you are.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 7953 966 or +44 330 123 1105.

@Sinan3  There is no bar on PAYG when roaming.    The sim how ever needs to be activated and used in the UK first before it’ll work abroad

this is also a public forum and there is no account access from here you need to speak with customer support.  You need to call them.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 150 from any other phone.
