Hi,
I’m currently abroad on holiday and I have an upcoming EE bill that I’m not going to be able to pay on the normal date because I currently don’t have enough money in my UK account.
I’m trying to contact EE to ask for a short payment extension, but when I try the live chat it seems to direct me to EE Business, and I can’t seem to find the normal personal customer live chat.
I also considered calling 150 from my EE number, but as I’m currently abroad I’m worried I’ll be charged roaming/international call fees.
Does anyone know the best way to speak to an EE adviser from abroad about arranging a short payment extension? Ideally I’d like to do it through live chat or messaging rather than calling.
Thanks.

@Bofahad81 Live chat is available via the EE app under help. It’s at the bottom

Good morning @Bofahad81.
Thanks for coming here.
I hope you're having a lovely holiday!
Have you been able to get in touch?
Katie

Hi Katie,
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to get in touch with anyone.
I’m currently abroad and need to speak to someone about getting a short extension on my upcoming bill payment. I tried using live chat, but it only seemed to give me the option for EE Business customers. I’m also trying to avoid calling from abroad because of potential roaming charges.
Is there a way you could help me get in touch with the correct team, ideally through online chat or messaging?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, when I try to use the live chat through the EE app, it tells me that the service is for EE Business customers only.
I’m currently abroad, so I’m unable to call 150, and I’d prefer not to make an international call due to the charges. I need to speak to someone about arranging a short extension for my upcoming bill payment.
Is there another online chat or messaging option available for personal EE customers, or could someone from the support team contact me through the app?
Thanks for your help.

If you are calling EE-CS from within the EU, the call should be free.
Outside the EU, "standard roaming rate" apply, which - if you have a roaming pass - very likely means no additional cost.

Or follow the advice already given in a previous post, to use live-chat within the myEE app.
