When I turn my nvidia shield on it states no ethernet connected, I need to unplug ethernet cable from hub and reconnect it back into hub everytime. Also I use a vpn when using apps on the shield and I need to force stop the vpn and turn it back on for it to work. Never had these problems while with Virgin Media.

@macca2509 - depending on the EE hub you're using, you could be seeing a symptom of this (there are a few similar threads). One solution might be to install a cheap unmanaged switch between teh hub and the Nvidia Shield.

@macca2509 As you have just posted multiples and the other is in a different section off the Forum to start with and you do not even say if it is the same issue then what is wrong!
