I’ve bought my son iPad as an add on for his Xmas . Is it ok not to activate until then??

Hello,

The iPad should be fine until Christmas, if you have a SIM card you will need to activate you will be able to do so separately from the iPad.

Hi I’m new to this and hopefully someone can tell me why I got sim to activate and number when I bought an iPad as an add on ?

Hello, just saw the reply.

With the iPad you will have a SIM card which will allow the iPad to connect to the EE network to use mobile data when there is no WiFi connection. Hope this helps.

The SIM will be for your iPad's mobile data plan. It should be pre-activated and ready to use.

@Sharonj11   Because you purchased an iPad that has a contract. You’ll be billed before you even switch the iPad on.    Your under a 24 month contract with that iPad and you’ll get a set allowance of data per month,  just like you do with your phone. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
