Pixel 8 pro pre order

Hi all have the pixel 8 pro on pre order it's due to be released tomorrow but on my tracking it still says awaiting delivery date confirmation. Has anyone elses tracker updated or will it just be delivered tomorrow?

Thankyou for the suggestion on the App - Just downloaded / installed and signed up for the DPD app

I can see all my previous parcels (its really cool :D!)

However i see zero pending / outstanding parcles on my app for the Pre Order today..so at a guess mine is not being sent out yet(tm)

I wouldnt usually mind if i was told it was delayed but have had zero communication on what the status is.

I was told in store that it would 100% be with us on launch day (Today) if we signed up...so i arranged and have a friend waiting today at my house for it - potentially for no reason. Its an expensive item to have delivered!

I think what has annoyed me more than anything is the lack of clarity & consistency through the process.

When I originally ordered on the phone last week I was told I would receive the device either Friday 13th or Monday 16th and I was happy with that however when I went on live chat yesterday to check on things I was told it would arrive today (12th) by two advisors including one giving me an incorrect tracking number and then when I rang the call centre to clarify I was told DPD don’t even have my parcel yet and it will be up to 28 days 😂

The tracking on EEs own website is also pretty poor, I’ve got zero issues with waiting for a device but just be honest with timeframes and if you genuinely don’t know then just say so rather than fobbing off 😅

Glad to hear some are getting it today anyhow, let us know what the phone is like!

With you there on the consistency / clarity - Id prefer to be told it'll be roughly X days and sorry for delays or "Im very sorry but we dont know at t'mo! We will update when we get any further details"

And then when they do know - They actually let us know :P! Even if its a blanket email

In the age where we are more connected than ever before , communication is a dying artform - Especially, it seems - for those providing the tools . (I am aware my grammar is horrendous! 😛 )

The 256gb versions will take upto 28 days or maybe longer but the 128gb are being sent out today the 256gb ones aren't even in the UK yet I believe, I've had to cancel 2 orders as I originally ordered bay blue 256gb they told me upto 14 days then they said upto 28 days, spoke to adviser and they told me if I order the 256gb obsidian I'll have it the day after, didn't get no tracking or anything rang them yesterday night and they said I wouldn't get it as all the 256 say 28 days and they said this could be longer so I ordered last night bay 128gb version and it's all ready at my local depot.

My phone has just arrived from DPD. I had matching details on DPD, the tracking number EE didn't work either and no notification emails. Hold out hope everyone!

The 256gb versions will only take up to 28 days if you order now. There are loads of us ordered on reveal day and who were told yesterday our phones had been picked and were being collected by DPD. 

What annoys me is we have to go to CS chasing orders every year, the EE website tracking is useless. I pre-ordered the iPhone 15 Pro Max 3 days after reveal yet it was going to take up to 6 weeks for delivery. On the day of the Pixel 8 reveal I decided to cancel the iPhone order and go back to the Pixel as the camera is way better. While ordering and yesterday I was told I would have the phone on release day. All the while, for both orders, the EE website tracking just said Awaiting  Confirmation under expected delivery date.
