Payment taken but no order generated

Seems to happen quite often on this site judging by the search results but I was not trying to pay a bill or an upfront payment.

 I ordered a ps5 controller. the payment was taken and then I got an error saying try again later and no order was generated. I wont be attempting to purchase again from this site but when can I expect a refund and why does this happen so often on this site?

@nextman  There will more purchases without issue then there will be people coming here starting they had an issue.     If the payment was taken from your bank account then the order was placed.  If your bank account shows the payment as pending the pending payment will be removed by your bank in the next few days.     Was it actually taken or does it show as pending?
