Hi can use send the information to just my email by any chance instead of txt or is it a automated service txt , just the number I have is a ee already and not in use as my contract has ended , also when I receive my new handset can I then change my number to my current number

@Jamielee1112 : EE won't port nos. between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no. to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.
You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.

My contract finished a few months ago and was a relative that got me it took my own up would this still apply as it’s no longer in contract

It's still in contract. These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away.
