I recently ordered a pay-monthly phone, and everything seemed to have went through correctly. I got the email confirmation of the order.
I now have an EE SMS message saying there is an issue with my recent order XKO####.. and to contact at ee.co.uk/message-us, which takes me to a livechat service. The problem is, no matter how long I wait, the livechat service just isn't working - I'm getting no messages apart from the standard, "Hello, thanks for getting in touch. So we can best help you today, we'll need to ask you for a few details.", "Ok." with nothing else.
Trying to track my order brings up an error, as if it doesn't exist. On my banking app, the initial payment is "Pending".
