Iphone 16 pro- 16 pro max pre order thread/that time of the year again

Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

Well mine will be arriving very soon so no real reason for me to be on here anymore. Good luck to everyone still waiting, trust the date given on the tracker as EE guides won't be able to tell you any more information. It looks like if anything you will receive it before that date rather then after it.

Never have i seen an experience so chaotic as this, even when i've ordered products from other businesses on back order there is still communication from them even if its just to say sorry your item is on back order. 

This is not the agents fault obviously, it's driven by whatever system EE use to track and fulfill orders. But at no point has someone gone "maybe we could lessen the annoyance of our customers and the stress of our agents by sending out a simple email to all customers with open orders appologising for the delay"

I work in IT with different systems that what EE would use but no matter what the system is there is nearly always a way to interrogate data on the system and there will usually be a way to export that data to a csv file that you could for instance use to send out emails to all open orders with 'sorry your order has been delayed' Or 'We have receieved your order and there is currently a __ day wait on this item'

Just got my Dpd notification.

16 pro max black 1tb

Ordered on 13th. confirmation on the 13th.

Apart from the lack of contact. defo quicker than last year.

13/09: Ordered + confirmed for 16 PM
No emails/updates
19/09: Told I will get it on release
20/09: Told there was an issue and that I need to re-order the phone. ETA of at least 21 days.

Ended up ordering it on amazon earlier today and will be getting it tomorrow... Probably a lesson learned for me to not order phones through EE. For anyone still looking, keep your eyes out on amazon at around 9am-11am. Have noticed the 256/512 models in all colours be available two days in a row now.

I ordered the iPhone 16 Pro Max desert titanium 256gb on the 20-09-24 and was wondering if there’s any updates on peoples orders as I’m seeing a lot off differences of which people are getting sent the phones and people are still waiting since pre ordering on the 13th. Any update would be helpful. Thanks

My Pro Max arrived yesterday, I pre-ordered on the 14th Sep, the tracking info on EE was never updated and I didn't receive any delivery information until I had a text from DPD on Wednesday to say it would be delivered. Pretty poor from EE, least they could have done is advised on a delivery date.
