Iphone 16 pro- 16 pro max pre order thread/that time of the year again

Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

I was going to order the 512gb but for the 1tb is was an extra £2 so ordered that. Was told that will be here on the 20th

My order confirmation email doesn't seem to have a delivery date or any mention of it, any idea where I can find it? My order was done over the phone if that makes a difference?

Probably best to keep a check on your order confirmation on EE website. Once that updates them DPD will follow shortly. 

 Until that updates you probably wont see any updates from DPD.

Honestly the only thing that's had me stressed this year was the confusion around the Anytime Upgrade still being a thing for next year. 

I was told by 3 people at EE prior to upgrading (including the guy who upgraded me) that come this time next year, I'll be fine to upgrade as YES Anytime Upgrade is still part of my newly signed contract. 

Since then it's been a rollercoaster of mixed opinions and nobody seems to truly know for certain, but I'm leaning on the side of 'no' it's probably done and gone. 

Similar to what @Mistr_ZeN has expressed, whether it is or isn't doesn't actually really affect me, as since I've been on my Anytime Upgrade I've never actually sent the phone back, as I've always sold it to a relative or friend for the sum that EE would end up charging me to keep it. 

So even if Anytime Upgrade isn't an option for me next year, I'll just pay the cost and sell the phone again for either a profit on Ebay, or an equal sum to a friend or relative. 🤷‍♂️

The lady tried to get me to have a credit agreement. I stood my ground and asked about anytime update and she said that she would keep me on that package as I said upgrading every year was important to me.

Anyone had anything from DPD yet? I’m sure it’ll be a Wednesday or Thursday text for those getting on release day. I called up at got on smack on 1pm on Friday just to be on a call for over an hour and a half to waiver £100 fee and sorting the contract out (the advisor wasn’t exactly bring quick about it) and sign the contract to be met with ow our systems are playing up I will  will ring you back 😔 didn’t end up ringing back to past 4 so I don’t have a clue when I will get the phone. However whether or not I will get on launch is a different matter as it still said that on the website up to an hour or so later. I went for 16 Pro Max 256gb desert Titanium. I’m kinda happy I won’t have to worry about the upgrade next year.

The lucky ones won’t start to get their SMS until Wednesday at the earlier or more likely Thursday. IIRC that’s how it’s happening for the last few years. 

By the time my order was confirmed (15:30 ) the website was giving out 3 weeks for expected delivery.
