Iphone 16 pro- 16 pro max pre order thread/that time of the year again

Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

Well here we are again.. that year went soo fast!!

So,,,, called yesterday to upgrade at 12:52, on hold for about 20 minutes then started my upgrade. Got told they wanted a £100 fee because I wasn’t quite a year old yet (through no fault of my own). Got towards the end and he then informed me it was £300 fee because it was the Pro Max I had!! Pay £300 or wait 20 odd days and it will be free.. so cancelled the pre order..

Then I started reading this thread hearing people had their fee waved so I called again this morning, told the advisor what had happen and the reason it’s not a year yet is because of THEM not getting my handset out for 3 weeks after I pre ordered!!

He was the most chill and easiest advisor I have ever spoke to, waved the £300 straight away and put my order through nice and quick for the 16 PM WT 512gb!!

So.. the wait begins!! 😅😅

Are they any 1TB orders this years, anyone ordered 1TB in pro or pro max the advisor told me that the 1tb will be on time delivered so that makes it next Friday 20th September the release day

Yes i ordered the 1 tb pro max in black.

As a side note. i went into our local EE shop today. i know one of the guys that work there. What he said actually makes sense.

There is defianltey no anytime upgrade there is no option for them to add it. so those who are being told yes. it defo not there. he showed me how they used to add it its no longer there to add. 

He said they are just saying it is still available. just to get the sales.

It was removed in august.

There is no current terms and conditions for it. the part on the website is still on there for current users who are currently on it atm. .

Let’s hope we all get our phones it was crazy last year with only a few not getting there’s I had a email from DPD first I ordered from ee and sky so hope one comes iPhone 16 pro max

That's some good information thank you for sharing this and hopefully we should get it all on time, I still remember last year that some people had pre ordered there iPhone pro and max after the next day of pre ordering but still got there phones on the release day, and people who had ordered on the pre order day didn't get them on the release day so that was really strange last year

I ordered the 1TB natural titanium pro max, order was in by 13:10 but told delivery within 21 days, can't understand why that would be? You literally can't place an order any quicker. Hopefully it's just a precaution thing and it arrives on Friday 20th. What colour and model did you order?

Mine was placed by 13:10. Now they want more info.

That’s really the quickest you can order 😂 I have ordered the iPhone 16 pro max 1TB dessert titanium but lest hope we really get them on time especially not weeks delayed again like last year

For those that have been told the anytime upgrade is still included now may be a good time to submit a subject access request as per the GDPR regulations asking for the transcript of the phone call.

it may just come in handy at a later date
