Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

Bit the bullet and called up - wasn't getting anywhere with my O2 account as their system has collapsed!

Got through to a lovely lady who managed to place an order for me for the 512 in Natural Titanium. She waived the £300 early Anytime Upgrade cost without me asking but I did have to pay £6.98 for delivery. Asked about the Anytime Upgrades and she advised that they're no longer available, this is the last year that anyone can anytime upgrade. Because my order was placed at 15:30 my lead time is 3-weeks for delivery but at least I managed to eventually get it sorted.

@King-Boss are you setting up an iPhone 16 Tracking & Delivery mega-thread? I can hear cries of 'but I ordered mine first!' already!

To everyone in this thread congratulations to the people that made it today and ordered there new iPhones including me 😄 and for the people that didn't made it don't worry you will get your chance too today around 2 the whole system of ee was down but luckily few people made it and on top of that got there email order confirmation as well, but guys remember please keep this thread running and don't follow any other than this one, good luck everyone with your orders. Called up to upgrade and they offered to waive the £100 upgrade fee without asking which was cool

What wasn’t cool was the not telling me that they would remove the discount currently applied to my account by upgrading and that what I actually pay would go up almost 30%.  I’m glad I asked that before the paperwork was signed.  

I’d like a new phone but I’m not that keen so unless things change I’ll be sticking with the 15PM for a while yet.

Can I ask what discount did u get was it friends and family 30% cos I asked about this as I have it and he told me when upgrading it remains on my account I would challenge that

I’ll be honest I’m not exactly sure what the discount was for but it’s been carried over on each of the last two upgrades.   It’s been that long now I can’t remember.   I’ve got F&F on my iPad but not the phone so it isn’t that.  

I just thought it was quite sharp practice not to say until I actually asked.

I would check on your ee account what discount you have for your phone if it is friends and family then they have no right to take it away it’s cheeky practice on there behalf. I would ring up far better experience don’t use chat
