I did a trade in for my iPhone 14 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max.

I did a trade-in for my iPhone 14 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max just over 14 days ago. A few days ago I returned my 15 Pro Max due to hardware issues (Not charging properly) and asked if I could just cancel that 15 Pro Max contract as it was a massive headache. I am now stuck on an iPhone 8 and paying for a contract at around £60. Can I get my 14 Pro Max back at all (Not mine specifically but just one that aligns with my original contract) and just stick with the contract I was originally on?

I have had an absolute headache with all of this and haven't had a working phone for weeks, needless to say, this iPhone 8 is not a great device in 2023 as the battery doesn't hold more than 3 hours of charge!

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi @autoid

Welcome to the community.

I'm really sorry to hear of your situation. Have you discussed this with our Mobile Care team?

Chris

If you were able to check my call log history on EE's system, you'll see I've been in contact with every person under the sun, every week calling for the last month.

They was not able to give me a straight answer.

@autoid  when you called to return this device, did you say that it was faulty or did you return it within the 14 day cooling of period stating you don’t want the device?   If it was the former then a new 15 should have been sent to you as a replacement.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi,

I had two 15 Pro Max's and they were both faulty. I let them know the situation and when I returned the second device they did offer a replacement but because I already gone through two iPhones in under a month, I did not want to continue with it and just gave it back and cancelled the new contract. Now my contract has reverted to my original one which was with the iPhone 14 Pro Max but I do not have that device anymore as I did a part ex. I wanted to know my options really as I feel like I've been played a little bit... Being stuck on a iPhone 8 and all.
