Really struggling with the EE roam abroad pass. I was away for two weeks in July so purchased it and ended up poorly on return so did not pay attention to bills as I usually do. I remember trying to cancel the pass on the app after buying it (when abaord (so it didnt roll over) but the app is so unstable I'm not surprised it never worked. It turns out theyve charged me twice for july, once for august and september.
I only pay 20 pounds a month for a simple sim only contract, so 75 pounds extra is alot to have lost 😞
Really wish EE had had the care to remind customers when there are significant extras costs like this, especially since the cost has gone from 10 pounds to 25 pounds over recent years. I've been with EE for 6/7+ years now and their buggy app and insane price increases and traps are really taking away from what was an amazing network.

I admire your honesty in conceding not paying attention to your bills, but no operator can realistically be blamed for this.
Realistically, if EE were to remind users of recurrent add-ons each billing cycle, one logical consequence of that is that any customer with a rolling add-on active would be reminded of it every month - this could also cause complaints.
What makes you think the add-on has been charged for twice during July? A pro-rata charge for the first month, followed by rolling monthly charges, is normal. This does mean the pass will have two entries on the first bill after activating it - which can sometimes be confused with double-charging.
