Good morning everyone
I have a contract with EE Limited. Previously you could use the phone at the same charge as in the UK. Does this apply, also, can we use whats app if mobile data is switched on and is the charge same as the UK?
I work a lot around the world and have other phones that I use, but when back in the UK I obviously use my UK phone.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Thanks @FOREMAN
If you have not upgraded since the 7 July 2021, you will be bale to use your calls, texts and 50GB of your data allowance in the EU.
Please see our EU Roaming After Brexit, Help page for more details.
Before you travel please check your My EE account to make sure roaming and call abroad is active, see our EE Roaming - Getting ready to use your phone abroad post, for help on getting set up.
Have a lovely time.
Leanne.

Hi @FOREMAN
Thanks for coming here.
When did you last upgrade or take out the contract?
Thanks.
Leanne 🙂

Hi Leanne
Not really pertinent to my question, however, the contract is over 10 years old and moved across from Orange, I upgraded the phone probably 5 or 6 years ago.

It's very pertinent! Charges for roaming in EU were introduced for contracts started after 07/07/2021.
