Unable to send text messages (iPhone)

For a few days now I have been unable to send normal text messages from my phone, although I am receiving them. I am on a PAYG pack and texted BALANCE to 150 which shows i still have a lot of data left and unlimited texts and minutes. Any help with resolving this?

For sending texts, check your phone's Messaging app has the Message Centre no. setting for EE as +447958879879.

I got this advice earlier to check the messaging centre no. However, similarly to other iPhone users who've mentioned the same thing, I keep getting the message " Error performing request - Unknown Error" when attempting to check this.

Have you checked to see if there are any carrier updates available in Settings > General > About?

Which error message do you see when trying to send a text @kusamia?

I get a notification saying “message failed to send,” and underneath the attempted message it says “not delivered.”
