I am on PAYG and since I arrived in Ghana SMS has stopped receiving I only received sms for couple of days and its stopped, I can receive call OK, I tried changing roaming network to either Vodafone or MTN and both comes out as NO service and cant connect to the two networks listed when I go manual network select. I can only roam on AirtelTigo network. Without SMS I cant receive OTP for other service I need while away from UK.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

The second biggest network operator in UK won't connect to GH Vodafone or GH MTN when you try and select these two network manually. It will only automatically select AirtelTigo, any reasons for that? I use EE PAYG and message back is No Service , Selected network unavailable.
The two networks displays both networks as available when you do manual search by turning off "automatically select network" but when you select either of them you are presented with the message selected network not available.

For clarity, whom are you referring to here?

Previous posts in this thread have suggested you should take this up with CS for a fault investigation to be raised. I'd recommend doing that.

I have and CS thinks the SMS issue is to do with signal level in my area which is odd since I can send message and receive calls and also make calls. In the the case of the network search issue they think EE may not have roaming agreement with Vodafone? which is also odd.

You raise 2 valid questions which a CS agent should be able to answer. You're absolutely right to suggest this SMS issue has nothing to do with signal levels, your logic is absolutely spot-on and I'd love to hear a "Level 2" agent try explaining it.
I suspect they are just reluctant to raise a fault ticket, but I can't see any basis for this - from what you've said.

Thanks Katie. There is no changes, I am still not receiving daily SMS sent from UK , the messages are sent alright but none has been received. EE CS has not logged official issue with a tracking number to follow.
proof of daily SMS sent to [edited] and none received
