Good afternoon,
I wonder if anyone has any suggestions please. My father is having issues with not being able to hear the other person on calls. We thought it was a fault with the phone so that has been replaced (it's not a smart phone) that didn't solve the issue so we thought it was the SIM card so that has been replaced. However the problem is still persisting. It is on all calls, the person on the other end can hear my father but he cannot hear them.

Is there any other function on the phone that you could test the speaker with?

I think he's tried that (they're 300 miles away so can't test myself) he also says there's not even a dialing tone when making calls (all exactly the same issues on both old and new phones). Also forgot to mention he's on pay as you go (not sure that makes a difference though).

Is the speaker volume turned up to its maximum setting?
Can callers be heard when the phone is in loudspeaker mode?

Hi James,
He says the volume is definitely turned up to full and it doesn't look like it has a loudspeaker.

Hi Chris,
It's a Chakeyake 4G Flip Phone but I don't think it's anything to do with the phone as it was exactly the same with his old phone which was a different make and model.

Are you able to try your SIM in another phone to see if the calls work fully? Did you get a user manual with the phone to see if it includes loudspeaker support?

No I couldn't find anything online to help my father either (he's over 300 miles away). Unfortunately no other phone to try the SIM in (apart from his old one which does exactly the same) and he can't find anything in the instruction manual to say about a loudspeaker.

Does he live near an EE Store, @Jja123? If he can pop in, they'd be able to look at his phone and do their best to help.
