I'm in Vancouver BC and I just landed and there is no signal. It's August 9th 2022. Usually when I land I get the text with costs and allowances, but no luck. Can you please help I am paying for a roaming bundle so its a bit worthless if I can't use it when I go abroad.

Hi @davidcuesta,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Has your phone connected to a local network yet?

If not, please follow the tips in EE Roaming - Help when abroad with your EE phone or device and let me know if it helps.

James

Hi @james_b

Before i even posted I have already

- turned phone on and off

- reset network settings.

- checked automatic network setting in Data (all I get is a spinning wheel next to automatic)

- logged in to my account and checked in parent settings to try to turn roaming on but it’s greyed out.

- turned on airplane mode multiple times.

Hi @davidcuesta,

If you turn off automatic network selection, are any networks available to select manually?

James

As mentioned the network button in data was just giving me a spinning wheel.

but then I just clicked on the spinning wheel. Just to see what would happen.

What happened was this.

- spinning wheel kept spinning but moved to left

- blue tick appeared next to spinning wheel.
- spinning wheel kept spinning.
- nothing happened.

so……..

- I clicked < back arrow

- then clicked back on network selection

- then list of networks was showing.

so I clicked on “TELUS” (one of the networks)

and now I am getting 1 little tiny bar of signal.

@davidcuesta : If you can't enable the Roaming Abroad and the Call Abroad & Premium Rate settings of your online MyEE, you will need to call CS. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. via Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
