Hi I am going to US tomorrow on vacation and so I texted ROAM FURTHER to 150 ( I need to use my phone in US).
I got a text reply saying "Your device is set up to be used for roaming in any country."
All good!
Do I need to do anything more? or is that it - the roam further pass has been activated on my account?
It's just the rest of the text said: "If you'd like to restrict this to EU only roaming ... text ROAM EU but if you'd prefer to roam in the EU and to call anywhere when in UK or EU, then reply ROAMEU INT" - basically neither of the two scenarios presented here apply to me - I think as I'm travelling to US.
So do I need to do anything else or am I ok?
THanks

Hi there @rksj2005
Thanks for coming here 🙂
You will need to make sure you have roaming set up to use your phone in the US, to do this please log into your My EE account online go to Menu > Account Settings > Parental and Data Controls > Enable Roaming and also Make calls abroad from the UK > They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Thanks - I checked my account settings as per your advice and it showed Enable Roaming and Make calls abroad from the UK as blocked!
When I try to change these settings I am getting Sorry, we're having problems. Text INFO to 150 to make your changes.
So I text INFO to 150 and I get the same message from start of this thread...
Why is this so complicated?
What am I doing wrong or is everything actually ok?
Yours still confused!

Hi @rksj2005
The text does show you have roaming for any country, to be sure I would suggest giving us a call on 150 and the team can make sure you're all ready to go 🙂

That msg does not make sense. They both refer to roaming in EU, not outside for which ROAM INT is required.
