Random mobiles claiming I have called them

Hi, I’ve had lots

of calls today from various mobile numbers claiming I have miss called them - which I haven’t! I’ve checked call history too and shows no calls made by me.

I know others have had this too, but EE Haven’t been helpful with what to do to solve this issue. I’m concerned my personal data has been compromised by them if it is a network error as i was told.

I don’t want to change my number if I can help it.

any ideas on how to stop this and on what’s actually caused this?

Am having the same issues. 2 of my friends even sent me screenshots and they had missed calls from me! I cross checked my logs with their and there was no call from my side! I can't change my telephone as I have had  this number for at least 19 years and its tied to everything I do. I am usually careful with giving out my number even on websites. This is just tiring and really annoying! I am constantly getting calls from a private number like twice a week! I am just worried the person spoofing or cloning my SIM will have access to OTP I get from my bank or apps!

If this continues to happen, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team to report it.

Only by changing your number or waiting in the hope they give in I'm afraid.

Hi am a new customer with EE but in the last 5 days I have received over 25 calls from people who claim I sighed up for financial assistance, but I have NOT CALL ANYONE I never had this problem when I was with my old provider. Please can someone advise me on what to do

Are these calls coming from one number?

The number you are using, has this been ported over from your old provider?

but no they from random numbers, and they are not from my old provider, as I didn’t experience anything like this, plus I did not take my old phone number, I received a new one when I joined EE, Is it possible that the number EE had given me, is it likely that the number was reused? And given to me?

Hi @Brighter-60  All networks recycle numbers as there aren't enough to go around. In your case, I would phone EE and ask them to change it to a new one and hopefully you'll have better luck with it. Hopefully as you've only just got it, it won't be too much hassle to get a different number?

Ensure they don't charge you for it too. Let us know how you get on.

I am getting these calls from people claiming to of had a missed call from me when I havent called them. Been going in for about a month now. One even accused me of being some type of pedo for calling a child's phone when i did no such thing. How do I stop this from happening I readout want to change my number if I can help it.
