Pakistan Floods...No call charges (tempory)

I've noticed EE on Twitter advises EE is not charging for calls made to and from Pakistan during the flood disaster crises for a imited time.

Is this correct?

Thanks

@Leanne_T  the screen shot says calls/texts and data usage in Pakistan not calls to Pakistan.   If it’s calls to Pakistan as well I think that needs to be mentioned.

Tried making phone call to Pakistan via EE won’t allow me to.

contacted EE to confirm if Calls to Pakistan are free charge temporarily and Advisor on phone couldn’t confirm tried checking his coms has not been notified of free calls even though it’s on EE official Twitter page.

mixed messages from EE at moment or miss communications which is not good as Pakistan is going through a National emergency and family friends are effected in region. Please confirm if calls are free or not as currently calls are not going through.

If calls are not free no problem will use other means to make contact.

Thanks

Hi @IKltd

Just to check are you on pay as you go or pay monthly?

If you have a pay as you go account, we are covering those costs, so you won’t pay them. You will have credit deducted initially, but we are automatically refunding these costs, and they will appear on your account within one day. You must have credit in order to make the initial call.

Hi Leanne_T

what if we are monthly contract holders?

Hi @MrsKAli

We are covering the cost of calls and texts to Pakistan numbers, as well as calls, texts and data used by our customers in the region, so you shouldn't be charged. If you do see a charge, you'll see a credit on your bill.
