Did you mean:

Not receiving overseas bank verification codes

Up until recently I have been able to receive bank verification txts from my bank in New Zealand. Im not not able to receive these messages. They appear to be blocked by EE, I have called my bank and they have checked everything on their end and all appear correct.

Searching online this seems to be a common issue however Im yet to find a thread where its solved.

Anyone have a solution to this?

Cheers

Yes I am

Let me know if it does work.

But just to let you know:

EE has changed its Spam filtre. It claims it sent the information to european banks and how to have their SMS go through the filter but many haven't done anything. I contacted my bank, they do know nothing about it. And EE is refusing to send them the information again or to tell me what information they sent! So nothing will be solved. I might then leave EE.

Hi @AlistairNz

Thanks for coming to the community.

Please call us on 150, and the team can get this looked into in more detail for you to see what could be causing the texts not being received.

Leanne.

Leanne, we know what happened, as I am in the same situation than Alistair!

I'm having the same issue now.

From a banking institution in Portugal and the Government. SMS from either origin do not come through.

This seems to be a very popular issue with EE.

Can this be solved? I had a lengthy conversation with support yesterday; which did not seem to know anything about these filters and could barely understand the difference between foreign SMS senders and SMS roaming.

Just an Update from my end. I tried to transfer money again yesterday and received the Netcode as I should and everything worked. EE have obviously changed something at least for the codes coming from NZ. I cant say what they have done to resolve this but maybe its worth others trying again...

Thanks @AlistairNz, and glad it worked for you. Did you end up calling them?

I've noticed this issue for 3 days now, and keep trying every morning.

I just found this thread. EE has made a fool of myself for telling me the problem is with the senders, and sending me on a wild goose chase.
