Not receiving Microsoft verification text code

Hi,

I have tried numerous times over the last few days to get a verification code from Microsoft so that I can sign in to my email account. I’ve previously received this without any issue as recently as November and I haven’t changed my telephone number linked to my Microsoft account. 

I have tired all the usual things including turning my phone off an on again, checking I hadn’t blocked a contact etc etc and nothing has worked. 

Is it possible that EE have blocked these texts coming through as I had a similar issue when I first transferred to EE approx. 2 years ago?

I’ve had this issue since December, I contacted Microsoft support and they said they’re having problems with their verification system via text. A fix is coming but they don’t have a timeframe.

No, EE wouldn't block a legitimate text message. Have you reported the issue to Microsoft?

I’m in the same boat and Microsoft are telling me it’s an EE issue they don’t have any issues with their text verification service on their end!

That's a blatant lie - I'm also having the same issue and after 4 hours of going round circles and passing between 7 support agents one finally admitted that the issue is on their end, that they're aware and many customers have complained over the last 3 days. Supposedly they're working on a fix but no timeframe in sight. (not using EE on that number so definitely a Microsoft issue)

I have tried to contact Microsoft about not receiving a code from my phone from a text message. I’m still having issues with that Microsoft told me to try and contact my phone provider from EE but I don’t think it is EE. I don’t know what to do from here.

Hi @Luke-59 

Have you spoken with our technical team about this yet?

They will be able to see if the texts are coming through from Microsoft or if they are not being attempted.
