Has Wi-Fi calling stopped working for anyone else today 27/08/2025

Not using Starlink, on standard BT broadband.

All our EE mobile phones have lost Wi-Fi calling together

Rebooted and still not working

Absolutely right Cheeky monkey - this is not a user problem!!!! Exactly the same has happened to us; we couldn't get WiFi calling, wasted endless time complaining, then it resolved because as you say it's all about EE blocking Starlink IPs, and they finally did something about it, and it's been OK for months and suddenly today it's gone again, and we're without WiFi calling again!

I know it's EE because I've been getting unusual 'no signal' messages today even though the local network is supposed to be working fine, so something was changed.

We live in a rural area and are dependent on this service. It s a clear breach of contract and Ofcom should be made aware (if they're not already).

Telling us to contact technical support is like deja Vue.... it's an issue that has nothing to do with the user. Sort it out please - you did it once before!!!

Hi Sparkgirl there is a work around which is really not ideal but might get you out of a short term pickle as we are in the same boat, no reception or other phone communication option when this happens.  you turnoff starlink for around 10mins. Turn it all back on & it will look / connect to a new IP - you have to hope this is one of the IP's previously allowed. Most of the time this will work

I just had this problem early in 2026 and tried all the mentioned fixes and none worked - very concerning when you have no landline and no mobile phone signal.

BUT what finally worked for me was to use the Starlink online AI assistant. I was directed to this when I clicked on Starlink Support, Then Contact Support then the Starlink Assistant popped up. I entered ‘wifi calling not working’ into the How Can I Help bar. Then went through a whole bunch of suggested work-arounds. It was so amazing to have instantaneous, personalised and relevant responses in a couple of seconds - the best demonstration of AI in action I have experienced. It is powered by Grok. After a deal of going to and fro with nothing working, the Assistant sent me a link to the Router Settings and instructed me to Reboot. I did that and within 5  minutes of router coming back to life - the wifi calling was working. I think it was the reboot that made the difference.

Message is to try this method out - I am so happy to have it back up and running and amazed by such an amazing demonstration of AI as well.

It’s stopped working for us again too after a few months of being ok 😭 will read everyone’s recent suggestions! We’ve just updated our iPhones to ios26, is that just coincidence 🤔

The 10 minute Starlink reboot worked (<1 minute of downtime didn’t, as I’d tried that earlier!). Proves it’s the IP address issue, if a longer reboot forces it to get a new IP address.

I had WIFI calling for months without issue. Went off last week, rebooting router fixed but now off again and rebooting not working. Please could someone advise who then is responsible for this? EE blame Starlink. Starlink say this:

Thanks for the update.  Rebooting your router reassigns you an IP address which is most likely the cause for the resolution. Please send the IP geolocation verbiage to EE support so they update their database to prevent this issue from occurring in the future.

Although I don’t understand a word of that, I have to say, I am less impressed with EE. Their suggested option is to “call us” without stopping to think that I CAN’T call you, that’s the whole point. At least Starlink engage.

Has anyone got any clarity on rebooting the router (gen 3) ? Keep trying? Leave it off for a while? Unplug? Reboot the dish?

Many thanks

I’d say try leaving it off for a bit longer. A quick reboot didn’t help me, a longer one did. For the time being!!! Can’t believe this is has been going on for months
