Lost Mobile number after accident and abroad, timed out

Good day to all,

Awhile ago my phone was stolen in Spain, the account lay dormant, I'd paid the bill eventually although it was to late to secure my phone number. I asked for the reissue, I'd had accident and got better, losing emails and numbers wasn't the priority bill I'm afraid, but I paid and half expected to be reissued a sim card, no such luck.

Can there be any way for me to get this number , that is obviously important for an array of emails and even accounts online , please can someone advise on a path to redeeming my old number, I have been a customer for over 15 years , I was surprised it such a quick time to be annulled.

Thank you 😊

You refer to paying bills, so I presume you're on pay-monthly. What do you mean by "too late to secure my phone number" - how far through the collections process were you?

Pay-monthly lines are only ever suspended, and latterly disconnected, for non-payment. How long did you go without paying your contractual charges, for your lines to be disconnected?

I suspect that if CS have already advised your number had been disconnected, then that is correct - I see no reason for them to misinform you about that. But confirmation of the timescales may be useful.
