I’ve had two calls recently where the caller has advised they’ve had an international dial tone when calling me, making it look like I’m abroad.
I’ve been at home on both occasions connected to WiFi calling.
Any idea why this is happening?

Hi @kamilopz
Welcome to community.
What has been advised by our tech guides when you have called 150 to get this looked into?
Leanne 🙂

I was moved onto the same priced tariff, but with nothing like the same
live customer service that Plusnet used to offer.
When I started with EE again last summer (2023) getting to a live agent was
impossible.
I think what has happened is that just as Lyca, Ecotalk, 1P Mobile, Airwave
Smart Mobile, Anywhere SIM, Axis Telecom, CMLink, CT ExcelBiz, Delight
Mobile, Digital Phone, Econet Mobile, Ecotalk, Family Mobile, Go Mobile,
Lomo Mobile, Matrix Cellular, Natterbox, Now Mobile, Popit Mobile, Simple
Call Mobile, Talk Home Mobile, The Phone Co-Op, Telecom Plus, To The Moon,
Ubigi, and Vectone Mobile ALL use the EE Network, probably with little to
NO customer service, just web based customer service, so EE are charging
their own customers for a lower rate of service.
My best friends old business partner was headhunted to the Orange board
some years ago whilst Orange were associated with EE. His words were ....
Orange / EE simply churn through customers like lottery tickets, it's a
numbers game. They simply don't care about you and no matter what they say,
it's a lie. Shareholder profit & bottom line dividends achieved with
financial trickery.
Weak signals, jumping from Wifi calls to 4G calls when it likes,
international dial tones, other dial tones, EE staff baffled, lots more
dropped calls and for this new lower service, my charges now increase
annually. I understand that 1P Moblie offer an unlimited calling for £30 a
year!
Caveat Emptor !

to endure - switch to a different company and take your number with you. If
it's for business, I'd go with one of the 'full service' companies who
offer live customer service. I've just retired, but for you ........ you
need the dependability of 'service' ..........

Hi @kamilopz
Thanks for coming back to me.
Does the same happen when using WiFi Calling and the EE network?
Have you tried the SIM in another phone to see if the same happens?
Leanne 🙂

I am very sorry to hear this, I would advise getting back in touch with our tech guides to get this fully investigated and see what is needed to help you further.
Leanne.

You're paid to say that but the reality is this:-
1). Wait times over 40 minutes just to speak to someone, then it's not the
technical team, just a '1st responder', then you never hear back.
2). EE shop sales people, EE ambassadors (really !!) at EE White City,
London and EE tech don't know what it is.
3). Ever since I was forcibly moved over from Plusnet to EE, the service
reception and customer service has gone downhill and is only a
small percentage of the Plusnet service.
4). Why waste my time chasing your company? It obviously doesn't mean that
much to me and I'm not reliant on gadgets or social media to run my life
....... Service used to be service ...... not lip service ....
4).

Does this happen in all areas?
What device are you using?
Have you tried the SIM in another phone to see if the same happens?
