Hello, I am having the same issue calling the UK from Taiwan. I have activated the option so that my UK data and calls can be used in Taiwan for 24 hrs to enable calls but I all calls are failing - including 150 to EE. Help!

@cbraund96 : This thread you latched on to is about making International Calls from UK. Calling the UK from Taiwan is not the same thing. You are roaming. Best to start your own thread in the Roaming forum.

Hey there @cbraund96.
Welcome to the Community 😊
@XRaySpeX is absolutely right that your query is a bit different to the thread that you jumped on the back of, but I've moved this post to its own thread so you have a dedicated place for any replies.
As well as having a package active that provides you with an allowance, did you make sure to activate roaming before heading away?
If this is up and running you should have received a welcome message when you first arrived in Taiwan, too.

@cbraund96 : Did you receive a Welcome text upon arrival?
Are you on contract or PAYG? Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before leaving to go abroad?
If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before leaving UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.
Otherwise if you are on contract you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.

@cbraund96 , if all else fails, I would make sure that 5G is switched off and 4G is then chosen and also make sure that you do not have dial assist on, as have read that could be the cause of not getting it working.
