I have been in Turkey for 7 days and made several standard WIFI calls daily. As of yesterday morning, I was not able to make any calls. Ok, so the hotel has excellent WIFI coverage, and my EE package allows calls from turkey, and signals are in high 4G.
I have tried the below.
1 - Reinstalling the sim card
2 - Turning on and off airplane mode
3 - Resetting the network settings
4 - Updating the apple os software
5 - Turning off data roaming (to make wifi calls)
6 - Turning off wifi (To make a standard call)
7 - Turning on and off airplane mode
8 - I have checked my app, and no issues are highlighted.
9 - It will allow whats app calls only
How do I contact EE to get this sorted when I can not call them on 150 or any other number, I have searched the app, but I am having to joy. I will be back in the UK on Sunday night, and I need to be back.
Please help.
Cheers John

When you say Wi-Fi calls do you mean via WhatsApp ? This has nothing todo with EE as it’s a service via WhatsApp when using Wi-Fi or cellular data when certain options are enabled via your EE account.
did you enable roaming from within your online account and allow international and premium rate numbers? This will allow you to use a cellular connection for calls/text.

Hi, no I mean calling from WiFi and not calling from WhatsApp, as the the
WhatsApp works.
In reply the the settings, I have made both WiFi and standard call for 7
days before it has stopped working and I have made no changes to phone or
EE online settings

WiFi Calling is not supported overseas.

As others have mentioned, WhatsApp "calls" are not treated by your phone or EE's network as calls - they are data usage via an app. Proper WiFi-calling is seamless caller via your phone's dialler but connecting to EE's central network over WiFi rather than the mobile network.
WiFi-calling isn't supported abroad, it can sometimes work although you should be charged as if you'd dialled over the mobile network.
If you login to your myEE online account and check "parental & data controls", do "international roaming" & "call abroad & premium rate" both show as enabled? Those are the settings that matter if you're a pay-monthly customer.

Hi guys
All of my business and personal calls are being blocked and no one can
contact me, unless they know I can receive What’sapp, or 90% of my clients
wouldn’t even try as they know that I have paid for my ee phone to work in
Turkey, in addition it had been working for the first 7 days
I need my phone to work normal, are you not able to contact ee online? And
in Turkey ?
Cheers John

Hi @11661
Thanks for coming here.
What happens when you try and make a call?
Have you checked your My EE account online as @bristolian has advised to make sure you're set up to use the phone abroad?
Leanne.

Hi Leanne
I know It was setup ok as I have been using the phone without issues for 7
days. On the 8th day when I try to call a number, using standard EE
approved European call package, I see the “calling mobile” then cuts
straight off.
It does exactly the same when I WiFi call.
But I must stress that it has been working fine for 7 days.
That 7 days without issues on EE 4g calling or WiFi calling.
If I could speak direct to EE i think it would be a huge help. Do they have
a web chat option, that can be used in Turkey?
