I have saved the EE Wi-Fi Auti for the London Underground as a network, I have the SIM setup as the login, but every time the train pulls into a station I have to manually select EE Wi-Fi Auto and connect. When it first connects it says internet not available and then there is a ! by the signal icon and it says connected internet not available. Then it connects, usually as the train is pulling out of the station. My partner does not have any of this problem with her phone, it is a pixel 5. Mine is a pixel 6 pro, both on the most recent version of Android, and both seem to have all the same settings. Mine is on auto connect, and is set up exactly as per the instructions on the EE website. Any ideas why it won't just auto connect?

EE Support,
This thread, with it's 39 posts (now 40!), is a shocking example of a technology company's support department attempting to fob off a group of customers by suggesting this problem is due to their phones.
IT'S NOT!!!!
My current phone has this problem, my last two phones had this problem, the four other members of my family who are on EE have this problem, other people I know on EE have this problem, EE customers on other similar threads have this problem... My other phone on another national network DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM!
So when are you going to wake up, smell the proverbial coffee, get a grip and
realise this is a systematic problem with your mobile WiFi network!
You sell this WiFi service as a benefit of being on EE but it doesn't work properly and then you provide a shockingly bad customer support/ technical support service!
NOTE: If you reply suggesting I recreate my EE login or call your support department, I will write to your CEO, again!

It is my belief that there is some kind of fault with the connection protocols. It is not logical for it to say 'will not connect automatically' in the list of available networks. Why on earth would it not connect automatically? I can only assume (and I am not terribly technically minded) that either each network in each station has different connection protocols/ security (which is crazy) or that there is something awry in the security protocols for EE Auto Wifi on the underground. The guys in the EE shop in Angel seemed to know about it and reckoned there is some sort of code they can put in your handset to sort.
All of that said I agree entirely with the previous poster. This is a known issue, and to continually fob off with referring people to settings and handsets is very disappointing

I agree so many people with the problem and EE have not dont anything. I tried calling EE and they were unable to help. The connection to wifi underground stopped working on my previous iphone last year and i have a new iphone and still have the same issue and nothing is being done about it!

It looks like the whole not connection automatically issue was due to Apple software. Since the latest iOS 16.4 software update this week both my person and work iPhones now connect to EE WI-FI auto all the time.
