London Underground EE Wifi-Auto cannot connect

Hi All,

For some time I have been having problems connecting to the EE Wifi on the London Underground. When ever I try and connect it asks for a username and password as the image shows. The EE website indicates it should connect automatically and it used to do so in the past.

This happens at all underground stations I try and connect at.

Any help would be appreciated!

HI @ChenoJoe,

Welcome to the EE Community

What type of phone is it you are using? If you have an android when you go to the settings for the EE WiFi-Auto, are you able to amend the access method to EAP and the EAP method to SIM?

The London Underground WiFi help page has the full steps for helping to make sure these settings are enabled, as they are needed to connect without it requesting a password.

Thanks for responding on this. It is an iPhone 15 so the EE website does not show any settings I can amend for an iPhone.

@ChenoJoe Thanks for clarifying, IOS devices don't need to do that setting. In that case I would recommend resetting the network settings of your phone and restarting the device to see if it will auto connect again when back in the Underground.

That is done via Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Just to let you know before doing it, this will remove things like saved WiFi passwords for other WiFi spots so make sure you have any passwords you need available to then reconnect.

Alex

Thank you for this. I tried resetting the network settings yesterday and it worked great!

Thanks again!

I'm really glad to hear that sorted things for you @ChenoJoe.

Thanks for coming back to let us know, too 😊
