Data storage abroad

Hi there I am using my mobile phone abroad. I have got plenty of data - it just updated my monthly allowance so I’ve got loads. Although it did run out three days ago. However I checked and it said I’ve got plenty. But my phone only works when I log into Wi-Fi now. It won’t work on regular 4g while I’m abroad. Do I need to rest anything? It’s really frustrating, especially if I need to use maps etc.

thanks for any help

@Mike330  You can only use up to 50Gb per month when roaming on contract and 25Gb per month if you’re a PAYG customer.

just to check has this been working while you are currently there ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

It did work for about a week and then stopped working. That probably means I reached my 50Gb. Is there a way of adding extra data allowance?

Hi @Mike330,

Where are you roaming?

What happens if you try to open a webpage over mobile data?

James

I’m in Greece. When I open a webpage on 4g, absolutely nothing happens. But when I link to wifi it all works. I’ve just read something about roaming, that if you want to roam for longer than 7 days, do you need to get a roaming pass or something?

just to confirm, until a couple of days ago it was all working perfectly.

Hi @Mike330,

Is it a pay monthly plan you're using?

If it is, did you take your current plan out before or after 7 July 2021?

If after, have you added the Roam Abroad Pass to your account?

James
