I’m on a small business plan provided by my employer with the £10pm Roam Abroad option. The details say that calling a country which is NOT on the list (EU plus a few others are on the list) costs £2.xx per minute - does that mean that I will be charged for calling back to the UK from the EU (since UK is not on the list and not in the EU)? I’ve searched high and low and can’t find a definitive answer.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I do have the answer now in case it helps anyone else.
Originally from home (UK) I texted “RO France” to 150 and got this ambiguous response:
“Great news, you've got our Roam Abroad Pass for £10p/m which gives you access to use your plan's minutes, texts and data allowance whilst in France. Plus the EU, USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa & China at no extra cost.
Calls from France to countries outside EU are £2.60 per min and texts 84p each. Other charges are the same as when you're in the UK. All charges listed are excluding VAT.
Visit businesssupport.ee.co.uk/roaminginfo for more info.
To check if your phone is set up to use abroad reply ROAMING”
Then when I arrived in France I immediately got this message which clears it up (albeit with different costs quoted for countries outside the EU):
”Hi from EE. While you're in France thanks to your Roaming Pass you can use your plan minutes, texts and data allowances at no extra cost. Visit businesssupport.ee.co.uk/roaminginfo for more information.
Calls to countries outside the EU (not including the UK) are £1.28 per min and texts 53p each. Other charges are the same as when you're in the UK.
For the best network coverage your handset must automatically select a network. To do this, choose your phone from: http://ee.co.uk/help/phones-and-device next select 'Connectivity' then 'Selecting Network'.

I texted RO France to 150 and got a reply saying I have the Roam Abroad pass for £10 per month. As I said this is a business account.

The Roam Abroad Pass must be diff on business plans from personal on top of the obvious diff that all prices are quoted ex-VAT.
