Unable to send a text

Hi

Recently any time I try to send a text to anyone on my contacts list, I get the error to say Message not sent, number formatted incorrectly.

This is happening with all my contacts, and up until recently, texts messaging worked fine.  I have gone through the forum and haven't been able to locate a resolution for this issue.

Which device are you using? 

Can you call the contacts?

Its a Sony Xperia Android device. Haven't had any issues with the handset or settings til now. I can call the numbers without any issue.

Can you text NUMBER to 150, does the message send? 

Are you using a third party downloaded messaging app, or the one that was installed on the phone?
