Blocked caller constantly leaving messages

Does EE really have no way to stop blocked callers leaving messages on Android?

My 13yr old is getting constant random calls from either a shop or a spam caller (the message isn't clear so I'm hesitant to call the number back...). She has blocked them, but they can still leave messages and gets constant reminders to call her message service.

I know other mobile providers can do this - does she have to leave EE to get the feature?

Voicemail is a network feature, so the functionality is identical between Android & Apple.

You can configure your voicemail with an extended absence greeting, with the option to not allow message deposit. This will affect all callers.

Thanks, we'll look at moving away from EE when her contract is up in a few months then.

Ideally she doesn't want to turn off her voicemail entirely just to stop getting messages from a blocked number. I saw something suggested online called Visual Voicemail, available through other providers it seems, but as you say, it looks like the only option with EE to stop a blocked caller leaving a message after being blocked  is to turn off the whole voicemail function, which seems extreme...

@Dakiara  visual voicemail is available with EE providing your using an iPhone. It still doesn’t stop someone from leaving messages.  A blocked number will always be diverted to voicemail it later how it works.

Best thing you can do is report the number to 7726. ( SPAM).  Text CALL to 7726 and then when prompted send the number.

You can also look up this number to see if any other people have had issues with it,  you can do that HERE

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I'm not aware of any UK operator who allows refusal of voicemail deposit to individual callers.

Quite happy to be corrected.
