Hi, I’ve been using the Essential SIM Unlimited £30 (£23) plan at home since July, which promises “Excellent speeds - Max 100 Mbps.” Everything worked fine until this past Monday when the internet speed suddenly dropped to around 10 KB/s. Now, I can’t even load the Google homepage. I haven’t changed any settings recently. Could you help identify what might be causing this issue? Thanks a lot!

Thanks Michael! I just tried to switch the sim our my phone with the sim of the router, then switch them back, and then it seems like the sim works again. Not sure if it could keep working well but it's definetely a good transfer. I'll see if it can contiune to work tonight. Thanks again.

Is it only at home where you see this happen? What happens if you leave the area, do things improve or do you have the same experience?
Have you checked your postcode using our Mobile Coverage Checker > Check Service Status to see if any works are currently going on?

Hi @Linzi_H ,
Thank you for your message. The SIM card has been working with a router in my home and remains in a fixed location. It has performed well over the past three months. I checked the mobile coverage, and it appears there are no known network issues in this area.

Thanks @Chris_B , I restarted the device several times since Monday, it seems like the problem still exists.

Are you able to try to put the SIM into a phone, just to see if the problem follows the SIM or the router?
