Lost signal during power cut

Just had some power cuts in my area and every time the power goes so does my signal. I’m currently isolating due to
covid so without my phone I have no way to contact anyone should the power go again. It’s not the first time this has happened, it happens every time there’s a power cut. The power has been back for 20mins atm but I’ve still got no signal.

I am not sure what you expect EE and the community forum to do. Have you been able to ring any of your neighbours to see if anyone else in your area has the same problem?

Power cuts should not affect the mobile signal unless it is also affecting all the mobile masts your phone can reach.

Have you tried restarting your phone?
If you enter your postcode into the EE Coverage and Status Checker and select 'Check Status' do this show the problem has been reported?

Oh wow. Condescending much?
thankfully someone from the community has pointed out that it’s not normal for signal to go unless the mast is affected too. So I’ve learnt something today, Such a helpful comment from them.

@ABurns86 ?. condescending, why? A power cut at home should not affect your phone signal. Don't knock people giving you correct advice.

Mobile network sites require an incoming power supply too, and if this is affected by an area outage, this will often be the reason for the loss of network signal.
Edit to add that, regardless of the legal suggestions offered in a previous post, no mobile network provider will ever guarantee a fault-free service 24/7 - any such assurances are simply unworkable. The T&C's do allow for this.
The "uninterrupted access to Emergency Organisations as part of any Publicly Available
Telephone Services offered" refers to the ability to call 999/112 from a mobile with available network coverage.
