I have had my Doro 8100 for six months but just recently it won't make or receive ordinary calls ie. not WhatsApp. I have read the manuals, asked Doro helpline but still no joy. Can't even call 150 or voicemail. When trying to make a call, it says call forward conditional - what does that mean?

Hi there @ACapps
Thanks for coming to the community.
Can you try going into the phones call settings, do you currently have a divert set up?
Thanks.
Leanne.

"Ordinary calls" are different to any usage of WhatsApp. WhatsApp, Messenger etc are just internet-based apps, usage is handled by both your phone & the mobile network as data usage.
Voice calls are those direct-dialled using your phone's standard dialler.
"Call forward conditional" is a by-product of how some older phones handle the conditional diverts underpinning the voicemail service, this onscreen message has no functional impact on your device's ability to make & receive calls. What else happens when you try making a call - do you get any in-call audio or on-screen error message?

WhatsApp calls work fine. When I phone someone using the EE network (when I am out and about), people can hear me but I can't hear them.
My doro phone was new in November. I can't use 150 or the voicemail because I can't hear them. All other calls work fine so it is not the equipment. I have been through all the menus and nothing is stopping the calls from going through. Thanks for any help.

As mentioned, WhatsApp usage is not treated as calls so this proves very little beyond the internet connection and phone speaker.

Just to confirm, are you saying that direct dialled calls to 150 or VM have audio issues, but direct-dialled calls to other numbers are fine? In other words, direct-dialled calls to other mobiles & landlines have no issues?
