Consistent Signal dropping during calls

Hi, 

I am trying to see if anyone else has had a consistent issue with signal during calls where over 90% of calls either become unusable due to robotic quality or disconnect. Below is a list of circumstances

* over 15 employees nationally experiencing the issue (so not specific to an area)

* all Iphone's which are only 3-4 months old, all also had new sims, all have been updated to the latest IOS

* it was believed this was an issue with dropping from 5g to 4g but having trialled a month with 5g off it has made no difference

* I also have an android on EE which has had zero issues despite being in the same circumstance and time

* the device doesn't even always ring during tests it was found the caller receives a dialing tone yet the receivers device doesn't even ring, a forced reboot is the only way to kick the device back in

Does VoLTE/4G-calling consistently display onscreen when you have call problems?

It would be interesting to see the results of a 2way SIM-swap between the problematic iPhones & the working Android.

Yes 4g is displayed along with a number of bars in the top right of the screen

I'm fairly sure iOS displays 4G-calling distinctly from 4G, in a similar way to Android displaying VoLTE as distinct from 4G.

I work for a company is the same position, we have about 60 company phones and EE has become completely unusable for calls, constantly dropping out or as you say robotic quality. This has been going on for sometime now, we sometimes use whatsapp for calls which seems to be better. We receive a lot of tech support calls so its important we have a good connection. I no longer take or make calls while driving on handsfree as the call is always lost. 

We are using Iphone 13 which are about 4 months old on the the latest software.

Why is EE so bad now, it was better 20 years ago.

Thankfully my company is looking to move away from EE when the contact is up.

I've experienced some similar issues personally, which turned out to be device-related.

Just shows 4G thats it, what did you change?

I don't use Apple, but I understand that "4G-call" should display alongside signal indicators, else your calls will CSFB to 2G/3G

This option has now changed and "Voice and Data" options are now 5G Auto - 5G on and 4G. I think VoLTE/4G is standard and maybe the reason for this issue, however is it Apple or EE. I have a personal android on Giff Gaff and that works seamlessly. (8 year old phone too)
