Morning Everyone, I've been asking on here did anyone know why the connection checker doesn't work in the EE App in South London, Didn't get a resolve but what I did get was a call from EE asking me if I wanted to change from PAYG to contract, When I asked the reason for the call it was because of my postings here,If I go on a package then the checker will work and also I'll get 5G which is in my area but once again not for PAYG,So us mere mortals can't have the good stuff,Funny that because on my back up phone I'm using Vodafone and the Connection/Speed checker is fine and it's running 5G perfect  Hope that helps anyone else who thought it might have been there phone or sim to old,Not the case it's just EE being a scrooge, Went into Vodafone and going to port my number to them and have 5G and Checker without contract.

@Pete2609  EE have never advertised PAYG users get 5g,  and what can you do with 5G that you can not do with 4G ?  And posting on here has nothing to do with anyone calling you about changing over to a contract of any sort.     The network checker working or not working has nothing to do with being on PAYG or contract.     It’s an online tool for you to use it doesn’t know what tariff you’re on.       Here is the tool without going through the app CLICK HERE
