So my 4G started dropping out last night and I've been getting switched over to gsm since which gives me no internet access (the poor gsm might just be because I've gone over my allowance and had my speed/bandwidth capped). I've been trying to access the status checker to see if it's a problem with my device on my end but the status checker on the website isn't working, it just tells me to try again later or call but the coverage checker appears to be working. I can sometimes get back on to 4G but it drops out after a while, switches me to gsm and I can't use anything.

I forgot to say in the first post, I was just wondering if anyone else knew if the status checker was offline.

Thanks Chris, that one was working earlier but the status checker is not playing ball. The coverage checker is saying it's all good but from a recent experience with another mobile service provider, in which the coverage checker said everything was OK but the status checker said otherwise, I wanted to check both. Looks like a phone call tomorrow. Thanks again 😭

Your data allowance being exhausted, is not a reason for dropping 4G > 2G. Do voice calls work when you are on 2G? The call terminating will often trigger a re-selection to 4G if all else fails.
This behaviour is also unusual because any available 4G layer is prioritised above 2G, thus your phone selecting 2G suggests you only have one serving 4G site/sector.
Try texting TECH to 150, it sometimes gives you the option to check a location by reply.
