Phone signal keeps flicking between Edge and 5G - ive tried resetting

My phone keeps flicking between edge and 5g any ideas? Ive tried resetting, airplane mode and resetting networks to factory but nothing working. Ive checked coverage map and all seems fine too.

Is this happening during a call? Or whilst using mobile data? Or just, with the phone in standby?

It would be normal for a phone to be handing between 4G & 5G as you move between coverage areas.

Just using data, I was about to put on some music. 

 

I am in my work office sitting in 1 place was on Edge for about 30 minutes and then flicks back to 5G for about 5 minutes then back to Edge.

Switching between RATs (radio technologies) like this would normally indicate either physical planned works on your serving site, or some config changes being made.

In either case, use the status checker section of the webtool and "report a problem" if nothing else is listed. Might also be worth testing voice calls to see if they hold.

I'm having the same problem. It started this morning at around 8:30am. Mine changes from 4 to 5g around 5 times a minute. (Funny thing is, EE took away 5g from my area a year or so ago.)  

Calls don't work, they are distorted and drop. My signal flutters between 1 and 2 bars. Facebook and Instagram won't load much if anything.

I live in clear line of sight of an EE cell tower, 100m or so. My phone is also in clear line of sight to the tower. There are no engineers on the tower at present.  I have reported the issues, so fingers crossed this gets fixed asap.

Thanks I have reported a problem. 5g seems to have worked for about an hour and now just gone back to Edge
