Hi @AimeeR,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Does your phone ever switch to mobile data when you are connected to WiFi at home?

Hi @AimeeR ,
If you are rapidly running out of mobile data on an Android phone, I would highly recommend downloading the "Internet Speed Meter Lite" app which will give live details of data usage and will keep track of day-by-day data usage over cellular data and WiFi during the course of a month.
If instead, your mobile data provides your home WiFi, the best option is to monitor usage day-by-day using the EE app or website. By far the highest usage will be for things like 4K streaming. I currently use 6 GB to 8 GB per day and should hit between 200 GB to 300 GB per month.

iOS & Android smartphones have an in-built data counter which will itemise your data usage to individual apps, and provide this functionality. It should generally tally with EE's billing counters, although there are circumstances where small differences can be expected.
On Android at least, this inbuilt functionality will be within your phone's network connectivity settings, under "Data usage counter" or something similar.

Same here, I’ve had BT mobile for years but was suggested I change to ee but whereas my BT data used to comfortably last me I’ve had to gift myself data from other family members & just received an 80% used again message, I’m doing nothing differently & my other family members have experienced similar. Why is ee data not lasting as long as my BT. Something is definitely amiss!?

Hi @NeilOliver
Thanks for coming here.
Do you have a new device?
Have you downloaded any apps?
Thanks.
Leanne.

Hi Leanne, Nope, everything is as it was on BT but ee is eating the data. 🙁

Hi Leanne, At the risk of repeating myself, we all have iPhones & all use is identical to how it was on BT & yes we all connect to our Home Wi-Fi at home. As you can see from other posts this isn’t an isolated case!? ee data seems to be used faster than your competitors? Hopefully this can be corrected!?
Regards, Neil.
