We are in Cape Verde and my husband and I got a text from EE to see if we wanted a data add on. We both agreed to paying £32.64 for 22mb for 7 days. However within minutes we also received a text that said we had used 80% of our roaming add on. How can this be possible?
Thanks

@Sharon1710 22mb isn’t much at all. You could use that within minutes. 1Gb of data is 1024mb

What were you doing with your phone in the intervening time? Were any apps set to auto-update? Were you watching any videos or suchlike?

Hi @Sharon1710
Background services on your smartphone.
You would be better of buying a local SIM at that cost.
Thanks
