Can I order another sim to put into mobile hotspot hub?

So I've already got a contract for an iphone 12 + unlimited data so I was wondering if I could order another sim to put in a mobile hotspot wifi hub and if that would work,having my phone and hotspot hub active at the same time on the same sim
