VPN not connecting over mobile data

I am using an EE data sim card in a Hauwei router, for the summer.

Worked fine last year but will not now connect to my work VPN.

Also tried w-using a hotspot on my phone and will not connect.

If I use another wifi network it connects okay so must be something to do with EE,

Told by EE it should work but I am thinking I may have to change to 3 and give them ago.

Has the VPN recently had any updates?

Hi Leanne,

The VPN hasn't had any updates. I can connect okay using my home broadband and also a commercial wireless network, where I am, but I cannot connect using EE either with the sim in my router or from my phone using a different sim.

No one else using EE has tried to connect.

This is for work so is critical and dissapointing.

I would suggest getting in touch with our tech gurus on 150, they can run through troubleshooting with you to see what could be causing this and how to get this sorted.

I have already done that and no luck sorting it which is why I asked here in case anyone else in the UK has had the same problem.

I think I am going to have to try a different provider to see if that will work.

No they couldn't see any reason why it wouldn't work and that a VPN connection should work over a mobile network.

I have also been in contact with our IT company and they have checked the VPN is correct. As I said before I can connect just not with EE  mobile network.

If no changes have been made since you last connected, I would suggest contacting your IT department again, as this is affecting more than one SIM card to see if they can get this looked into in more detail for you.
