VPN not connecting over mobile data

I am using an EE data sim card in a Hauwei router, for the summer.

Worked fine last year but will not now connect to my work VPN.

Also tried w-using a hotspot on my phone and will not connect.

If I use another wifi network it connects okay so must be something to do with EE,

Told by EE it should work but I am thinking I may have to change to 3 and give them ago.

I have now got Starlink instead but haven't tried it yet!

I have had the same issues with VPN and with EE support (which is like BT now, useless) they ended up passing me to apple support ? the broken English and lack of experience just drags time away and is frustrating, but hay at least BT save money in support overheads aarrrrhhhh   

On my VPN it works using wifi but on mobile data it doesn't... The support at EE just don't know what to do and its clear this is a protocol problem.  

if I use a Nord VPN then it works, so I suspect its Apple using IPV4 and EE using IPV4/6 or visor versa and so CLANG. 

why EE can't just admit and say Apple phones can no longer use default VPN's settings on mobile data and must use wifi for this VPN to connect .... and have complete transparency, rather than messing around flanneling on the phone
